Too Much Junk.

Posted on November 30, 2011 by adminNo Comments

Weekends have always been busy for us. Aside from DS’ usual activities, DH sometimes accepts photography gigs on weekends as well. Then last weekend, we attended an early Christmas Party with friends. It was a fun party and DS got to take home tons of Angry Birds items, while DH got outdoor speakers from the White Elephant game, would you believe? Nah, he got this really cute yet very powerful speaker. And then this coming weekend we are to witness the Christening of a friend’s baby girl. So since we are out of the house, needless to say, my tummy has been having too much not-so-healthy food. And as much I am liking it, our weighing scale so disagrees. So I guess I just have to eat healthier from now on.

It Never Ends.

Posted on November 21, 2011 by adminNo Comments

The construction and renovation going on at the houses in our street, that is. And all the dust and paint fumes aren’t doing us any good. One neighbor is constructing their house on phases, and I am hoping that what they’re doing now is the last phase as I can’t take any more dust and mess in the street. They are still building a pool on their rooftop and the other day I think I saw a clawfoot tub being delivered to their house. And as if that’s not enough, two more neighbors got inspired and did a little renovation and repainting as well. I’m glad both were just quick projects though and we’re done in about two weeks. For my Christmas wish, I hope the last one will be done with their house the soonest.

Baked Chicken Strips.

I saw the recipe somewhere, however, it wasn’t so accurate as the approximate size of the strips wasn’t mentioned, thus the time it needed to bake it isn’t perfect, as well. Nevertheless, it was still good. Tops my salad perfectly. I love my own!

Snowshoes.

Posted on November 21, 2011 by adminNo Comments

I was never aware that there exists a running snowshoe. But I am from a tropical country so I am not familiar with any thing snow-related. Anyway, I came across this type of shoe, Crescent Moon Gold 12 Snowshoes in particular, as I was looking for gifts for a good friend abroad. I want to get him something useful hence a pair of shoes. This reminds me that I need to get a pair of running shoes for me as well. I badly need to lose several more stubborn fats.

This is herbed salmon, I think. ;) I had these plus pasta and some oatmeal cookies and some other pastries, for snacks! No wonder, I am gaining weight. Never again, though.

Baked Banana Oatmeal.

Posted on November 3, 2011 by adminNo Comments

10-23

It’s been a while since I baked so I made baked banana oatmeal last week. I keep on planning to bake some cookies, but it would never push through. I am staying away from too much sweets, DS isn’t fond of sweets either. I guess that’s why I never get to do it. Maybe for Christmas, we can indulge in some sweets. Maybe I can do something with oatmeal and nuts, so it’s a bit healthier, less guilt for me. Aside from looking for nursing scrubs, I plan to get new aprons and kitchen towels, too as I want everything in the house to be a little Christmas-sy. It does make baking/cooking time more fun.

Pa-Healthy Breakfast.

1017

One of those rare days that I included fruits in my meal. I had these early this week. And this reminds me that I need to buy oranges. Or maybe not as we still have some pineapple. Anyway, I am trying to add more fruits into our meals, and I plan to revise our weekly menu as well. I am a trying hard vegetarian, but the other members of the family aren’t. So it will be unfair if I will deprive them of the food they love. Plus I know my son needs variety of food. And so a little bit of meat will be included in our weekly meals, along with veggies and fruits. So aside from looking into Travel Guide Jobs or whatever job that I can do at home, I am likewise searching for new recipes to try.
