I am looking into metal buildings and modern homes when I chanced upon this. I just have to snag the list as I am one frustrated cook. Neverthelss I am so ready to be a kitchen goddess. Hahaha. I am far from it. But with practice, who knows there might be an inner chef inside of me. I can’t afford to get all these at once so I will do so little by little. Besides I need to make sure that I am going to use it first. I hate clutter and it will be a terrible waste of money to buy something and not use it.

Anyway here’s the kitchen goddess tool kit.

The Kitchen Goddess Tool Kit
* Cast Iron Skillet (can you smell your grandmother’s cooking yet?)
* Dutch Oven (one pot cooking to make life simple and delicious)
* Copper lined Pots & Pans (yes they are expensive, but will save you time washing up & make cooking enjoyable)
* Round Roasting Pan (perfect for roasting chicken, imagine those fabulous Sunday Dinners)
* Rectangle Roasting Pan (perfect for larger roasted or when roasting meat & vegetables together)
* Non-Stick Frying Pan (a modern delight, however I have never known a nonstick that I have not had to replace)
* A trio of mixing bowls (not just for baking, they are a trusty cooking tool not to be underestimated)
* A variety of cake pans (if you are not a baker, start with a round cake pan and add to your collection)
* Knives & Knife Sharpener (buy the best you can afford and always wash them by hand)
* Meat Fork (will prove invaluable with all those yummy roasts you plan to make)
* Graters (not just for cheese, these darlings are great for garlic, ginger, vegetables & spices)
* Kitchen scissors (invaluable chef tool, perfect for cutting meat, pizza or any other bite size morsel)
* Timer (who has time to watch the clock?)
* Pastry Brush (great for everything from laying a marinade on a steak to buttering a pie dish)
* Measuring Cups (cooking is not always exact, but sometimes you need to be)
* Kitchen Scale (Just like your grandmother had, baking is a science leave nothing to chance)

Finally I found the list the I’ve been looking for. I am no cook but I try to prepare hearty and healthy meals for the family. This list of kitchen basics will be of great help for the kitchen. I am hoping I can order a few kitchen gadgets online before Christmas. They are, in fact, already listed on my favorite store’s wish list so when I finally have the budget, I will just put them in my cart. I wonder if an LCD HDTV can fit in a box, as well. This has been in our home wish list for the longest time also.

Anyway, aside from the staples like measuring spoons and cups, a can opener, a wooden spoon, and the likes, below are the basics according to Simple Mom.

1. A Good Knife
2. Melamine Mixing Bowls
3. Tongs
4. Stainless Fry Pans
5. Large Cutting Board
6. Silicone Spatula
7. Fine Mesh Sieves
8. Immersion Blender
9. Dutch Oven
10. Baking Sheet

I came across this herb keeper from one of the blogs I am subscribed to. I like using herbs (not that I know a lot of herbs) on my dishes, pasta especially. However I don’t usually buy herbs as much as they end up wilting in the ref since I am not able to use them at once. This herb keeper looks interesting and something I can use.

Herb Keeper
Keep fresh herbs or asparagus crisp and green longer than mere refrigeration by immersing the stems in water. Clear plastic keeper has a removable insert with water fill line and perforated cup for easy draining. Green silicone gasket provides resistance, allowing herbs to rest in a raised position for easy access. Large capacity keeper fits in most refrigerator doors.

I have been in search for a laptop bag for weeks now. I have visited several multiply stores but I never saw anything I liked. And just now, I stumbled upon Pinder Bags at ShopCrazy. However, the info posted in ShopCrazy was 2 years ago.

Anyway, I initially wanted this black and purple combination.

Then I thought this brown and pink combination will go well with my laptop.

Decisions. Decisions.

Suggestions for “affordable” and doesn’t-look-like-a-laptop-bag laptop bags are very much welcome.

So my hair basically looks like my first haircut. Oh well.

I wish I have funds for this.

I wish to replace my current digital camera as I am not pleased with the output. My current digicam is a Sony DSCT100, btw. It is just a wish, though.

Too bad, its storage capacity is only 160 GB. I need so much more space than that.
