I can’t get enough of this. I want to have this with banana again. I know this has been around for a while, but it was just this weekend during Asher’s 1st birthday that I got to try it. I am not a fan of anything chocolate – bar, drink, ice cream, but this one I loved. I thought strawberry with chocolate was good, but I enjoyed the banana with chocolate more. Yum!

Feed Your Brain.

Posted on February 8, 2009 by adminNo Comments

I came across these foods that are said to nourish the brain. And dark chocolate is one of them. Hurray for chocolate lovers!

Morning: Sip a cup of fresh brewed tea. Both green and black tea can improve memory function and mood due to the antioxidant catechin, a bloodflow booster.

Afternoon: Snack on a handful of almonds. The vitamin E in almonds helps with memory function and retention. They’re easy to keep on hand and grab in a pinch.

Evening: Enjoy a square of dark chocolate. The caffeine can help you focus, while the flavenoids aid in bloodflow to the brain which can improve overall cognitive function.

Craving.

For an oatmeal cookie.

old-fashioned oatmeal cookie from starbucks.

Eversince I tried the oatmeal cookies sold at one of the clinics of my son’s pedia, I couldn’t get enough of it. I even tried to schedule the little boy’s checkup there even it is a bit far from us just so we can buy the cookies. The little boy knows the drill, too as he is the one who gets the cookies from the table.

I tried Starbucks’ old fashioned oatmeal cookie last week and I liked it. Save for the raisins as I am not really fond of raisins. But it was good, it was soft and it was chewy. I was bit disappointed though because the one I bought in a different store the other day is not as soft. Old stock?

I need to take my asthma med with a full stomach so I usually have my breakfast at Las Paellas Cafe after dropping the little boy to school. The husband joins me there. I eat while he works on his laptop. He drinks the free coffee that comes with my food. :D {Extra rice not shown. hihihihi!}
