Dark Chocolate Raisinets.

Plump, sun-ripened raisins bathed in rich, velvety NESTLÉ® dark chocolate. Dark Chocolate RAISINETS® have 30% less fat than the leading chocolate brands1 and provide ½ serving of real fruit in every ¼ cup. This decadent and better-for-you treat is a natural source of fruit and dark chocolate antioxidants.

This is my current favorite snack. I guess this is good snack, isn’t it? Raisins plus the antioxidants in dark chocolate equals guilt-free indulgence. But the past days I have been munching up on choco baby and Becky’s brownies and some chips. This is not good. I really do need to check out curvatrim and add start walking on the treadmill yet again.

This is an old photo, but I had this very same thing, brownies topped with vanilla ice cream, for dessert tonight. Yum but not-so-good for the diet.

A Princess Tea Party.

bela's tea party.

This was a school party from one of my son’s classmate. I just had to take a photo of this cute tower of pastries. The kids, the boys even, enjoyed the party so much. It must have something to do with the small plates and cups where the pastries and tea {aka chocolate drink} were served.

It’s March.

Posted on March 1, 2010 by adminNo Comments

It’s the 1st of March already. How time flies. My little will be turning 5 this month, which reminds me that I need to make a list of things I’ll be needing for his birthday. He will have a small party in school and I think his grandparents will prepare a small party in their place, as well. It’s the first day of the month and already my to-do list is piling up. Add to that the life insurance rates that I need to compare and study. Thanks to LifeInsuranceAgency.com, my job got easier. Their articles on insurance have been very helpful. After this, I can now focus on my little boy’s party.

Bed & Breakfast.

Posted on February 26, 2010 by adminNo Comments

breakfast in bed.
Our breakfast. The fish was mine, the beef was for my boys.

DH surprised us to an overnight stay at The Boutique Bed & Breakfast last Valentine’s. All we did was lounge around, eat and rest during the short getaway. We did bring our laptops though as I still have to check our insurance online. Anyway, we didn’t even bother to avail of the free facial that came with the package as we just wanted to have some rest. It was indeed a relaxing break.

I had a truly fun fun fun weekend. I never thought that the party would be that loud and fun, and did I say loud? Everybody indeed had a blast. I am so looking forward to the next date with these girls. I wish we can do this regularly. Maybe when we are all rich, we can take Orlando vacations together. There are so many tempting and realy good deals at OrlandoThemeParkVacations.com, I wonder if I can convince DH to have a vacation. Anyway, it’s now back to reality. So many things to do, online and offline.

At White Hat.

Posted on February 13, 2010 by adminNo Comments

new haircut for moi.

Me (with a shorter hair) with DS at White Hat. I have been addicted to their yogurt lately. I usually order the large size with two toppings, both cashew nuts. I am not sure if eating too much yogurt will help me get rid of belly fat though. However, yogurt do have lots of benefits. It is a very good source of calcium, phosphorus, riboflavin-vitamin B2 and iodine, as well as vitamin B12, pantothenic acid-vitamin B5, zinc, potassium, protein and molybdenum. In addition, yogurt that contains live bacterial cultures may help you to live longer, and may fortify your immune system. So it isn’t so bad to feast on yogurt after all.

Under The Weather.

Posted on January 15, 2010 by adminNo Comments

It does look like I am coming down with something. I just can’t afford to be sick right now as I have several things that I badly need to accomplish. So as early as yesterday, I have been taking double doses of vitamin C in addition to my usual vitamins. I wonder if I should have my vitamins changed soon as I have come across womens vitamins. Since a woman’s body has different needs than that of a man, they created vitamins specially for us. I will bring this up on my next visit to my doctor.

High Fiber Foods.

Posted on January 13, 2010 by adminNo Comments

1. Legumes & Lentils: Dried beans, peas and other legumes including baked beans, kidney beans, split peas, dried limas, garbanzos, lentils, pinto beans and black beans. Green beans, snap beans, pole beans, lima beans and broad beans

2. Dried fruit such as figs, apricots and dates

3. Fruits like raspberries, blackberries and strawberries, cherries, plums, pears, apples, kiwi fruit, guava, banana. Pears contain more fiber than prunes.

4. Vegetables like Fresh or frozen green peas, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Sweet corn, beet root, baked potato with the skin, carrot

5. Greens vegetables including spinach, beet greens, kale, collards, Swiss chard and turnip greens.

6. Nuts such as almonds, Brazil nuts, peanuts, pistachios, and walnuts (Nuts are also high in fat content.). But pistachios are the lowest in calories and fat of all nuts, and a one-ounce serving has three grams of fiber.

7. Whole wheat and barley products

8. Rye, oats, buckwheat and cornmeal

9. Coconut (this is also high in saturated fat).

I was searching for foods high in fiber and I came across the list above from fatfreekitchen.com. We indeed get a lot of benefits from including fiber in our diet, like lowering cholesterol, weight loss management and it can even be a cure for hemorrhoids. So better include fiber in our daily diet and let’s start eating healthy.
