Washing
Submerge the herbs in cold water rather than just rinsing them off.
Removing Stems
For many herbs, you’ll be removing stems. When working with herbs such as parsley, dill and sage, removing the main stem or stalk is the most important part. The smaller stems that the leaves are attached too are okay to leave a bit on here and there.
For herbs with woody stalks like rosemary and thyme you’ll want to strip the leaves at their base to avoid any bitter stems.
Preserving
Ice Cubes
Extra chopped herbs can easily be preserved by adding a teaspoon to ice cube trays, covering with a teaspoon of water and frozen. These frozen herb-sicles can be added to soups or dishes as they are heating for a fresh burst of flavor in winter months.
Rolled Packets
After rinsing and drying fresh herbs, stack them as evenly as possible into a pile. Roll tightly and place in the bottom of a freezer zip-top bag or reusable bag. Remove all air from the bag and seal tightly. Freeze. You can slice strips in the desired amount of the end of this roll to add to dishes once it is frozen.

I am having a series marathon of Gossip Girl and from there I actually heard of investing in gold bullion to secure one’s wealth. So it is indeed true and this form of investment is getting really popular. Gold bullion is considered a unique investment and it is known to help expand one’s investments, safeguard wealth and preserve your purchasing power. This is still a bit new to me though I have been reading a lot about it. If you are likewise interested, United States Gold Bureau is a good place to start. From there you can purchase gold and other precious metals, plus they also have a group of dedicated hard asset professionals who are very much willing to guide you with whatever precious metals investment needs that you may have.

Chinese American Potato Salad
~about 8 cups
* 1 1/4 cup peas (freshly shelled or frozen)
* 3/4 cup diced (1/4″) carrot
* 3 cups diced (3/4″) cooked russet potato
* 2 cups diced (1/4″) ham
* 3 large hard-boiled eggs, chopped
* 1/2 cup + 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
* 1 tablespoon honey dijon mustard
* kosher salt and freshly ground white pepper to taste
Instructions -
1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Meanwhile, set up a bowl of salted ice water on the side.
2. Put peas into boiling water for about 2 minutes, or just until tender but not mushy. Scoop out with strainer and set in ice water immediately. Set aside to drain thoroughly and cool.
3. Bring water back to a boil, making sure you have ice water reset. Cook carrots for about 4 minutes, or until tender. Place in ice water immediately. Drain thoroughly and set aside to cool.
4. Before you assemble, make sure all ingredients are dry and cool. You don’t want excess water and you don’t want the ingredients to be warm.
5. In a large bowl, toss together peas, carrots, potato, ham, egg, mayonnaise, and mustard. Season to taste. Serve as is or in a sandwich.
Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Aside from doing tasks and catching up with friends, shopping is one of the things I enjoy doing online. That is, if I have the budget. Right now, I don’t have the extra funds for unnecessary shopping. But surely though, we would allot a little extra for Christmas shopping. That’s why I am always in search of coupons or discounts to make the most of my very limited budget. You won’t believe how much shopping you could do with coupons on hand.

Accidents are unexpected and most of the time unpredictable. So what do you do when you have been involved in such. It’s good news that there are lawyers solely dedicated to handling accident cases. O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath has group of lawyers, like Auto Accident Attorney Nebraska, who are committed to helping victims of accidents. What’s great about them is you get free initial consultation with them. And you are not required to pay them anything until your case is won and you have received money from those responsible for your accident or injury. Slip and fall, serious injury, defective products and drunk driving victims are just some of the cases that they have successfully handled.

Another item added on my wish list. Ever since I saw these on Lifestyle Network, I know I have to get some. I always stock up on veggies, but most would usually wilt easily even if kept at the fridge. These containers promise to keep our produce fresher, longer. I hope I find one here as I don’t want to order abroad anymore. In short, I don’t have much $$$ to spend.
