Job Hunt.

Posted on March 13, 2010 by adminNo Comments

I am helping out a cousin look for a job. I must say that job hunting now is so much easier. During my time {which wasn’t so long ago, if I may say so heehee}, we had to check each and every newspaper just to find that perfect job. Nowadays, you just need to surf the internet and everything is at your fingertips. No more printing of resumes or going out of the house. And speaking of job hunting, Beyond.com offers the largest network of career communities. Thanks to them, our search just got easier.

Our Place.

Posted on March 10, 2010 by adminNo Comments

I have been wanting to subscribe to Playhouse Disney channel for my son for the longest time. The problem is our cable provider doesn’t provide that channel yet to their provincial subscribers. Sigh. Though I love that it’s more quiet and the air is much cleaner from where we live, we are not able to get the best services. For one, our phone is from a smaller and sometimes not-so-reliable company. We are not also able to subscribe to much faster internet connection just because it is not yet offered in our area. Plus there are also times that our cellphone signal sucks, made me think of getting a cell phone signal booster for the house. But despite all these, I still love our place. It’s quite peaceful, simple and this is our first ever home.

I love the multi-colored and not-so-matchy chairs in the dining table.

Secret Millionaire.

Posted on March 9, 2010 by adminNo Comments

I came across this article on the internet about this lady who lived a simple life. She would shop at rummage sales and she was also very thrifty, hardworking and frugal. And yet after her death, it was found out that she was a millionaire. Wouldn’t you want to be a secret millionaire just like her? It was an amazing story. It made think of ways to invest a portion of our savings in some other ways, rather than just putting them in the bank. I know my son will greatly benefit from this. Anyway, I have learned that one way to safeguard our savings is to buy gold coins. They said that gold coins are more stable than any paper currency. Especially now that the dollar weakens, the gold prices are on the rise. You can learn more about this type of investment from usgoldbureau.com.

Sonya’s Garden.

Again. We never get tired of their food, their salad especially. We went there last week as a post-Valentine’s treat from DH. We were supposed to eat there last Valentine’s after we checked out from The Boutique. However, the traffic was so heavy that day, we decided to go there some other time.

As always, I enjoyed their salad and I love that they have fresh langka, I had to request for another bowl even if I was done with my salad. DS was satisfied with plain pasta noodles, bread and dalandan juice. I was also so happy that they didn’t charge us for my son’s food. We had to pay half for him the last time we went there. Anyway, I thought it was going to be cooler there but I was wrong. It was terribly hot that day. Maybe aside from a dehumidifier, they should also have an air-conditioned dining area. The weather is really so bad these days. Summer did come a bit early.

Clearance.

Posted on March 3, 2010 by adminNo Comments

I promised myself that I won’t be shopping so much this year. I am not actually much of a shopper but whenever I see sale and discounts, I get very tempted to shop. So much like the clearance savings I came across at TheSource.ca. They have tons of really good deals on computers, cameras, phones, TV’s and more. This is so tempting. I better show this to DH, too, I know he loves gadgets.
