10 Easy Ways To Improve Your Cooking.

Posted on December 18, 2009 by adminNo Comments

1. Use Fresh Herbs.
2. Upgrade Your Oil.
3. Try Whole Wheat Pasta.
4. Get thee some decent cookware.

I am trying to do the tips listed above. Though when it comes to herbs, I am only acquainted with basil. I hope to try other herbs soon. With regards to oil, I do spend a little extra as I use canola oil and olive oil. With regards to #4, how I wish I have extra money to get myself additional cookware. I would really love that.

Anyway, you can read the rest of the tips here.

Holidays.

Posted on December 13, 2009 by adminNo Comments

I have been a bit lazy with all my online work. I can’t seem to have anything done when I am in front of the laptop. Plus real life is also demanding since Christmas is so near. And I am gonna turn a year older real soon, too. I wonder what I would get myself this year. I know it’s going to be for the house instead of some personal stuff. I do want a bigger fridge with a ukf7003axx water filter, but we can’t let go of our little ref as it was given to us by my IL’s. So maybe a new dining table or something for our little home.

I love this list I came across at TheKitchn. I love the products they listed and I love them even more because of the price. I’ll be referring to this list once I start my shopping for the kitchen. And I’ll be adding these items to my wish list, too, along with a few gadgets, a stay at one of the panama city beach motels, and a few items for the house.

hanging ornaments on the tree.

I am slowly catching up with my photo uploads. I had to upload the set of pictures taken while we were putting up the tree as Christmas is fast approaching already. The bottom of the tree is still bare as gifts are still unwrapped. There are just too many things to do right now. I can only wish that we spend some time on outer banks vacation rentals, but I guess that will remain a wish for now.

Tips For Cutting Calories.

Posted on December 4, 2009 by adminNo Comments

* when making spaghetti sauce, use mushrooms, onions, garlic, and peppers in place of meat

* when eating out, your first option should always be either vegetarian (but without lots of cheese), grilled fish, shrimp, or grilled chicken

* no more soft drinks – Read the labels!

* get baked chips instead of the regular

You can see the rest of the tips here. I try to follow some, if not all, of the tips. I am also trying to eat as healthy as I can and I am happy to say that I did lose weight. I can already even fit into my old jeans, but I need to lose a few more inches to make them more comfy. Maybe fat burner can help with those few inches. ;)

Been A While.

Posted on December 3, 2009 by adminNo Comments

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this blog. Life has been a bit busy, especially now that Christmas is just around the corner. I have lots of dining out pictures to post, but I haven’t found the time to upload them to Flickr. Anyway, I am almost done with my shopping for my son, save for one big gift. I also need to look for new pajamas for him to wear on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. It would be nice if we can get a Wii and wii accessories. Let’s see if I can include that one in my very limited Christmas budget as Buy.com has some really great and tempting deals on Wii.
