Posted on November 22, 2009 by adminNo Comments

I stumbled upon this list of how to feel great from Inspiration & Motivation blog and I just had to select some of the tips from the long but very helpful and informative list.

1. Exercise for 30 minutes everyday.
2. Drink multivitamin each day.
3. Don’t be a greedy eater.
4. Drink plenty of water.
5. Laugh.
6. Eat with your family together.
7. Keep choosing healthy food when you have dinner outside.
8. See something beautiful, like: put a picture of your beloved on your desk, see sunrise/sunset, put a vase in your room or hang your favorite picture on your wall that you can enjoy every day.
9. Face aging process by exercising, such as taking a walk, jogging, swimming, gardening, hiking, cycling or other aerobic activities.
10. Take time for yourself. We need some time to be alone and to be with other people. Being alone is very good for your body and soul, like relaxation, reflection, etc.
11. Practice your breathing. It can help relieving your tense and stress.
12. Set a schedule for having fun.
13. Spend money wisely.
14. Practice to identify and overcome stress. Signs of stress are get angry easily, isolate from surrounding environment, cry often, have insomnia, etc.

I still feel bad for missing the New Moon movie date. It would have been my first time in a long while to go out on my own. But family should always come first. Which reminds me, I do need to check for insurance quotes for the family. I have been planning to get, even just a cheap health insurance, for us. Good thing I can get free quotes from WhatAQuote.com. New Moon can wait. I probably should just see it on DVD.

Because of this photo, I think I am now liking our dining room’s new paint color. I was actually thinking of having it repainted but I guess it will be cheaper and easier if I just change the curtains and add little stuff to make it look this bright and breezy. And I’ll be changing the curtains in the living room as well. My plain, cream-colored curtains don’t seem to work with our plain white walls. I heard SM is likewise having a Thanksgiving Sale and I plan to take advantage of that to get new stuff for the house, along with some batteries, rechargable lights and a few personal items.

I love these Sesame Street lollipop sticks. And I’m sure kids, like my son, would love to munch on these. Go here for the instructions in creating this fun treat.

This Is Cute.

Isn’t this kitchen cute? I have always wanted an orange ref but this photo made me dream of a pink one. And it matches the oven and the mixer, too. I have a lot of plans for my kitchen. Unfortunately those plans will have to wait a little longer, along with our other plans, like travelling to new orleans and to Disneyland and to the beach. So many plans, so little funds. ;)

On Business.

Posted on November 15, 2009 by adminNo Comments

I have always wanted to put up some kind of business. But I never realized that putting up one entails a lot of work. One of the more important aspects that needs to be taken cared of is the accounting. Of course, it is all about the company’s financial transactions thus it is a central part of any business. Kondler, Chavez & Koch, a Las Vegas accounting firm, is one recognized accounting firm dedicated to handle whatever accounting needs that you may have. They have been assisting various industries like auto dealerships, entertainment, contractors and even high net-worth individuals, to name a few. Do check out their site if you want to know more about them.

I have another project for DH. I am requesting that he build me a pantry in the kitchen. I initially told him to look for someone who can build a cabinet for me, but since he was able to construct our closet, he decided that he will just be the one to do it. So let him be. It doesn’t look as difficult since he will just be building the frame. Then for the shelves, we will just get the similar materials above from Ace. And while there, I will be getting ceiling fans, too.

White Board.

My in-laws has a white board hanging on their kitchen {or at least, they used to until storm Ondoy came}. And for some reason, I used to sort of make fun of it. I didn’t realize that having a similar board in one’s kitchen is indeed very helpful. It helps you keep track of your stock of food in the freezer and in the fridge. Plus you can also list down the menu you planned for the week. That way, you can make sure that all your stock will be used and none will get spoiled.

I am getting myself one on my next trip to the mall.
