A US-based friend of mine is selling imported bags and wallets and other stuff and she just posted another set of goodies on her site. They are really so tempting. For sure if I am still working, I will not be able to resist them. I already got a bag and a wallet from her so I guess that will be enough for now. Not unless I am haunted by the new goodies she has.
Anyway, I do want to get serious with saving so I am looking for ways to make our money grow. One option that I have been reading a lot about is gold investing. It is said the buying gold is one of the most excellent ways to maintain one’s wealth. It’s good that Monex Precious Metals has a group of dedicated professionals that can help their customers with all their precious metals investment needs.

I am browsing the internet for some fun and creepy food ideas for Halloween. We will be bringing food to my son’s school during their Halloween party and they are encouraging us parents to bring Halloween-themed treats. But I don’t think I can prepare it on my own. I have a feeling I will just be ordering some pastries somewhere.
Anyway, here are some Halloween treats I came across Martha Stewart site.

I was checking my sites and I realized that my blog hosting will be expiring in a few months. Good thing I still have some cash in my account, I can have it paid at once. But since I still have some weeks, I decided to look for other web hosting available. I am hoping I can find a cheaper hosting with the same or even better benefits than my current host.
It is not easy just simply browsing and comparing each and every web hosting I came across online. I stumbled upon Web Hosting Choice and my job suddenly just got easier. They listed the various web hosting sites that were rated highest in the industry and they were compared and rated based on affordability, reliability, uptime, technical support, plus a lot more information. It made my comparison and selection so much easier as I can easily choose which host is better than the other. There is also a review provided for each of them and it proved to be very helpful and informative. And the price comparison is something really useful especially for me wherein the budget is one of my main considerations.
I might spend some time going through the site and hopefully soon I can make my decisions.

Tomato and basil pasta. The one I cooked today though does not have basil. I used Hunt’s canned whole tomatoes. I heat it in olive oil with chopped garlic, plus salt and pepper. Then I added the cooked spiral pasta.
For snacks, I’ll be having these. ![]()

I am surprised and so happy that my son has been learning a lot from school. They had a lesson about continents and the famous attractions found in each country. I tell you, he now knows more famous attractions than me. He even knows the flags of some countries.
One of the places that he keeps on telling us that he wants to visit is The White House. His cousins whom he just loves also live in the United States and he tells us that he wants to visit them, too. How I wish we can bring my son there. Maybe in the next few years.
I am hearing good feedbacks on CitySights NY and I want to try them out too. New York Tours sound like a lot of fun, riding a double-decker bus to check out New York’s famous attractions. And they have shopping day trips, as well. That I have to experience. Museum visits, harbor cruises and helicopter tours are likewise some of the major attractions and activities that they offer. I hope to meet up with some friends so they take me to other places as well. This trip really has to happen. I know it will. We just need a little bit more time.

Most of the toys my son wishes for Christmas are too bulky. I would have wanted them sent here but I don’t think that will be practical. Maybe just a toy or two can fill an entire box already. And then there are some that just won’t fit the box.
So I just told him that we will just wait for his aunt to visit home then we’ll have her bring his toys. Just like what they did when they visited a few months back. I was able to order several toys for my son and she gladly brought all of them here. Yes, the toys were not heavy, but they were just too bulky. Good thing they hired a Car Service NY to transport them from their home to the airport. Otherwise, I don’t know if a cab can take care of all their boxes and luggage. Go Airlink NYC was so reliable, she had no trouble with their trip. They accept online reservations 24/7 that’s why my sister-in-law never had to take a leave from her job to reserve a van. Their vehicles are new and spotless, with a separate luggage compartment, making their travel comfortable. She and her husband had three kids in tow, but Go Airlink NYC made their travel so much lighter and easier.

Chicken Fingers. My son loves to have this when we dine at Conti’s. Looking for a photo for this week’s theme was a bit difficult. It’s because most of the food that my son eats are those that adults eat. Like for pasta, I am surprised that he prefers the not-so-sweet ones more than the kiddie-style spaghetti.

Black Friday sale is just around the corner. I can’t think of anything to buy for my son as most of what he wants are available here. My DH, on the other, does not want much. So I guess, this time I am going to spend mostly for myself.
Aside from some clothes, probably I will get the basic makeup items. Maybe it’s about time that I try to put on some makeup. And maybe a makeup course is a good idea too as I am totally clueless with makeup. I love Regency Beauty Institute, a popular and high-end beauty school houston. It’s good that their courses not only covers beauty and makeup alone, but they cover the entire beauty business. I know I can learn a lot from this. And did I mention that their classrooms are similar to those upscale salons? This is getting exciting.

I should stock up on cans of canned tomatoes and pasta. It’s my saving grace when I am too lazy to cook or when pressed for time.
For the sauce, I just heat the canned tomatoes with chopped garlic in olive oil. Then I add salt and pepper to taste. I also add basil leaves if I have them on stock. Good thing, my son can survive on a tomato-based pasta alone.
I serve it with bottled sardines if we have one on stock as DH wants a little meat in his pasta.
