Spaghetti Dog.

Posted on June 26, 2009 by adminNo Comments

My son loves pasta, even the plain, just-boiled noodles. Just this week, we had sopas (chicken noodle soup) twice, as per his request. He really loves eating the boiled macaroni noodles. And today, he again requested for sopas and brown hotdogs (chicken hotdogs).

Then I came across this spaghetti dog. This may look weird, but I think this is fun. I plan to prepare a similar one this weekend. I’m sure he’s going to love it.

From The Kitchn:
To make these spaghetti hot dogs, you stick raw spaghetti through chunks of hot dog and then boil the whole thing until the noodles are soft.

This is a fun idea especially if you have kids. My son loves pancakes so I am thinking of preparing his pancakes this way.

Investing.

Posted on June 23, 2009 by adminNo Comments

My cousin is selling her pre-need plans and some of her properties here. It seems like she is establishing herself abroad and has no plans of going home in the near future. She is planning to purchase a house in the US so most of her properties here have to be disposed. She has always been good in handling her money, so she is likewise looking for other investments there. I have been coming across Monaco for the longest time so I told her to look into investing with rare coin. Monaco has the rarest of coins plus experienced professionals, all of whom are members of various numismatic trade organizations, ready to assist every customer. My cousin seems interested, I hope she makes a good investment.

Conti’s.

Posted on June 16, 2009 by adminNo Comments

Conti’s in Nuvali Sta. Rosa is another restaurant that we frequently visit these days. DS loves their chicken fingers. He isn’t fond of dips or any sawsawan but he loves the chicken fingers dip. We would just order an extra rice for him then he’s happy.

he loves chicken fingers.

DH and I, on the other hand, do not have favorites yet. We are in the process of trying out their menu.

We do love their mango bravo.

DH had grilled, or was it barbecued, ribs.

I had linguine in pesto sauce with seafood.

I am craving for their mango bravo so most probably we will go there again sometime this week.

DVD For Kids.

Posted on June 12, 2009 by adminNo Comments

I noticed lately that DS is getting bored with his computer games. He has been playing a bit of his dad’s games. But those games aren’t for kids that’s why I am looking for better alternative that he can do during his free time.

Aside from books and his toys, I am looking for educational DVD’s that I can let him watch. I came across LittlePim.com and I saw really impressive DVD series.

Their DVD series are all about foreign language that is sure to engage babies, toddlers and preschoolers. At present, they offer English, French, Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew, Italian and Spanish. DS loves Dora and Diego so I am looking at their toddler Spanish DVD series. What’s nice is I have the option to purchase a DVD separately or get the whole set.

I am reading their customers’ reviews and I am more convinced to get a set for my son. Some even use the DVD as materials for their school.

I am lacking shelves in the kitchen. This one seems a nice idea. However, I am not so much into open shelves as I hate dusting them. I still want a cabinet. For the meantime though, I think this will do.

Something For Me.

Posted on June 12, 2009 by adminNo Comments

My cousin from the US came home for a visit last month. Too bad, I wasn’t aware that she was coming home or else I would have asked her to buy a few things for me. She was sorry though that I wasn’t informed and promised to get me what I want the next time.

But she hasn’t forgotten about me after all. She got me this pretty blouse. The blouse was really comfortable, well-made and just perfect for our weather here. I checked out the tag and found out that it was made in Mexico. I have read that most clothing manufacturing in Mexico produces really good quality items. NAPS or North American Production Sharing, Inc. can help businesses move their labor-intensive procedures to Mexico and thereby cutting down in expenses and expectedly increase the profitability. Aside from manufacturing, NAPS also focuses on automotive, aerospace, packaging, electronic and medical device industries and has been around for 18 years now. No wonder, their clients are continuously increasing.

A New Table.

We ordered a similar dining table from one of the furniture shops in Cavite. We passed by the shops on our way home from Tagaytay and decided to have a look. I saw a similar table in one of the shops and so I ordered one. (We badly need a new dining table and I have been looking for a nice but affordable set. I really hope this table will turn out nice.) We also added two long benches and two stools. I told them to text us before they paint the table as I want to see it first. Hopefully the table will be here in a week or two.

Pizza and Pasta.

Posted on June 12, 2009 by adminNo Comments

Our family enjoys pizza and pasta. We eat at our favorite restaurant almost every week to have our pizza and pasta fix. My son likewise enjoys the authentic Italian pasta taste as compared to those pasta for kids. When I am not in the mood to prepare food, our first choice for delivery is again pizza and pasta.

I came across this award winning Italian restaurant in La Jolla, Trattoria Acqua, recently and got to take a look at their menu.

Photobucket

Trattoria Acqua rests on a hill overlooking the La Jolla Cove and the Pacific Ocean. This is a perfect location to enjoy good food. Looking at their yummy entrees made my mouth water. Their decadent desserts are something to save room for. It is named as one of the top 10 dining destinations in the country by USA Today so this is really something to try out. I am going to share this with my cousin so she can bring her family there.
