Something I am going to try real soon.

Bridge Creek Heavenly Hots
- makes 50 to 60 silver dollar pancakes -
Ingredients
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup cake flour
2 cups sour cream
3 tablespoons sugar
Procedure
1. Put the eggs in a mixing bowl and stir until well blended.
2. Add the salt, baking soda, flour, sour cream, and sugar, and mix well. A blender works fine for this step.
3. Heat a griddle or frying pan until it is good and hot, film with grease, and drop spoonfuls of batter onto the griddle–just enough to spread to an approximately 2 1/2-inch round. When a few bubbles form on top of the pancakes, turn them over and cook briefly, no longer than 45 seconds.
4. Serve with warm butter and warm syrup. Try not to eat them all.

Caramel cake and mini cupcakes. I got my son a small cake so he can blow his candles during his birthday treat in school. The small cupcakes are for the kids. I figured it will be a bit messy to cut the cake and serve them to the kids.

1. Sarafina’s suggestion. How far would you be willing to travel to satisfy a food craving? As far as the husband will allow me because he’s the one who drives.
2. Have you ever eaten rabbit? What did you think? No. And I have no plans of doing so.
3. Have you ever made your own bread? How? No.
4. Where do you usually spend Easter and what do you usually eat? We either go out as a family or visit relatives.

1. What kinds of pizza do you like?
I love Margherita, CPK’s Italian Tomato and Basil Pizza and Yellow Cab’s Gourmet Garden. I prefer veggies over meat toppings.
2. How do you shop in a grocery store?
I usually shop early and on a weekday to avoid the crowd and I usually have a list with me. I always forget something if I don’t prepare a list.
3. What is the most unusual combination of items you put between two slices of bread and called a sandwich?
I can’t think of any.
4. Do you have a favorite simple recipe that has five or less ingredients? Share! I love my lemon-tuyo pasta. It has garlic, lemon (zest and juice), flaked bottled tuyo and olive oil. Of course, salt & pepper to taste, plus the noodles of course. It’s more than five, but it’s easy to make.
5. Do you buy water in plastic bottles?
Yes.

I wanted to have my own herb garden. However I am not really familiar with all of the herbs. The one herb that I get to use frequently is just the basil. Another thing, I don’t have a space outdoor to put my garden on. We do have space outside, but it is cemented. So the option I have is to plant the herbs on pots.

But how hard it is really to put up an herb garden. This article on growing herbs from Chow seems very helpful. They grouped the herbs from the easiest to hardest to grow. I could refer to this once I start with my herb garden.

1. Suggest a question for FFOF. Something fun is in store for the one whose question is chosen. Hmm. I am in the process of tidying up my kitchen. I would like know the most useful and most recommended kitchen gadget out there. So useful that I can let go of a few kitchen tools.
2. Share instructions on how to make your favorite smoothee or shake. I don’t make shake. ;(
3. What’s in your favorite panini? I’m not sure.
4. Share a recipe for potato salad. Mine is simple. I boil the potatoes, then peel them. I then slice them into cubes. And then I just mix the potatoes with chopped hardboiled eggs, mayo, chopped white onion, pickle relish, and some salt and pepper.
