Been very sick.
I rarely get sick, but when I do, I get so sick I can’t function at all.
I badly need to take a rest. Maybe that’s the reason why the internet was acting up these past days.
I went to the doctor and I am now taking meds. {I hate taking medicines.}
I am feeling so much better now, but I’m afraid I passed the virus to the little boy.
The house is a mess.
Hay.

This made me smile {chuckle, actually} the other day. I was laughing so hard when I saw this photo. I wanted to post this earlier but unfortunately our internet connection was acting up again. Anyway she is Aggie’s pretty little princess, Martha. Pretty talaga ‘no? BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

Here are the wooden toys I got for the little boy. I saw similar toys from Pat, and found out from her that a fellow n@wie sells these kinds of toys. We have been searching for a wooden house for the little boy as he is fond of houses.

Notice that the house is oh-so-clean. Now, it has doodles all over. Tsk. tsk.
The house is fully-furnished.
It has a bedroom, dining room, bathroom, kitchen and living room. I got these wooden dolls to go with the house.

I also bought this dress-me-up bear which is now missing a piece. Hay.

Some puzzles.

This he enjoys playing with.

There are a few more toys I want to buy, but maybe later. The little boy has more than enough toys already and I want to dispose old toys first before getting new ones.

Some photos from the little boy’s first day of school two weeks ago. Oh yes, it took me that long to download the pictures.

Welcome Funny Bunnies!

Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are.

We heard mass at Sto. Nino Parish beside Colegio San Agustin in Binan. We love going to this church as the priest generously sprinkles holy water and blesses kids {and adults, too} after every mass. The little boy would gamely raise his hands while squinting his eyes in anticipation of the water.
The priest was always smiling and seems to be very fond of the churchgoers. And since it was father’s day, the priest went around the whole church blessing every father inside. Not only that, each father took home a shot glass. It was a very thoughtful gesture considering the church badly needs more funds to finish its construction.
We then went to CPK for lunch. I ordered while the daddy and the little boy went around ATC. They returned to CPK, no food yet. Two follow-ups, one waiter confirming of the follow-up, another waiter confirming if I already ordered and 45 minutes later, the food hasn’t arrived yet. Yup I did manage to wait that long as I was eating donuts {and yup I eat sweets before meal} and tinkering with my cellphone. When the husband returned, he gave them a few more minutes to have our food served. After a while he told the waitress that we will be cancelling the order already. The waitress was begging us not to and said that the food is on the way. The manager {or was it the chef?} also came to the table asking us to wait and even offering us a 30% discount. Of course, we didn’t take it. My goodness, it’s been almost an hour. I would have stayed if they had given us free appetizer. Hahahaha. But seriously, I think they ought to give us some free food while waiting for our food to arrive. We have a kid with us and it is was way past lunch already. Sabi na e, dapat McDonald’s na lang.
We checked out Friday’s but they have a very long wait list. We then went to Italianni’s. The restaurant was full already so I told the receptionist that we will just dine at the tables outside and I told her that I want the menu already. She said yes. So I waited on the table. A foreigner customer called them and they quickly came to her side. I just let it pass. I called the attention of two more waiters and nobody brought me a menu still. I saw them serving foreigners and those well-dressed adults. Though I am so much simpler than most, I don’t look hampas-lupa naman
so I was wondering why nobody’s serving me. Besides, we frequent Friday’s with me wearing just a shirt, shorts and slippers and we were served naman. Invisible yata ako. So I just decided to leave. In my normal days, I would confront the people at the restaurant and let them know of my complaints. But today is different. I just left the restaurant. {”I” as the two boys were in the play area.} I’m not sure if it was because we just heard mass or I was just too tired and hungry to complain. I just feel sad for them that they chose to serve other people than me. Ang laki ko kayang mag-tip. JOKE! But seriously, don’t you just feel sad for those people who judge or favor other people just because they are foreign or rich {or look rich}. Babaw. Wait till they see my bank account. JOKE ulit!
So the ending, we ate at Luk Yuen. I missed Luk Yuen. I missed the beef brisket and the chili sauce. The little boy loved the cantonese noodles and he ate by himself. He also ate the cheese sticks he and his daddy bought from Makati Supermart.

This is a laptop desk. Which you can also turn into breakfast tray, bed desk, book holder and writing desk. I saw this at www.lapdawg.com. I wish someone comes up with a similar product here.
